Elected doctoral students are part of the doctoral school council. They are the representatives of all STEP doctoral students and are voting members of the board. Their role is to have a close link with all the STEP doctoral students, by forwarding their questions and needs, and relaying useful information. They are force of proposal with the council and are also a major driving force in the life of Doctoral School (activities, setting up surveys, etc.).
The elected PhD student representatives of STEP are spread over the labs attached to STEP, which allows them to be close to all the doctoral students.
