The STEP Graduate School Council is informed of the enrollment figures for the current year and the recruitment campaign for the following year, and is consulted on all matters relating to the life of the Graduate School, in particular the organization of the doctoral contract competition for the UGA and USMB institutions. It deliberates on proposals made by the ED management on all aspects of regulations, organization, and the implementation of new procedures. It also acts as a conduit for communicating ED policy to laboratory management. It also makes proposals on all these aspects.
Composition
In accordance with the provisions of the decree of May 25, 2016, relating to doctoral training, the STEP doctoral school council comprises 26 members.
Members of the ED management team
The ED administrator
Expert members of the bureau (including a representative from USMB)
One member for each of the directors of the laboratories attached to the doctoral school.
Members elected from among the doctoral students (up to 20%).
Two representatives of the engineering, administrative, or technical staff.
The chair of the HDR Committee
Two to three external members from the industrial and socio-economic sectors.
